- Mrs. Eva Irene Loar, 76, of 1067 National Highway, died yesterday at her home. She had been in ill health the past year. A native of Eckhart Mines, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Anna (Rephann) Porter. She was a member of Park Place Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a member of the church choir and WSCS. Surviving are her husband, Richard J. Loar; two sons, Richard H. and G. Clifton Loar, LaVale; three brothers, Marshall R., Russell and Nathan Porter, all of Eckhart; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Bloomer, Baltimore; Mrs. Virgie Stark, Mrs. Pearl Craze, Frostburg, and Mrs. Lulu Snyder, Eckhart; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hubert Patrick officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
