Preceded in death by wife, former Marie Shipley. Survived by two brothers: W. Homer, Meyersdale RD 3; and Harry B., Rockville, Md.; and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Bolden, Meyersdale. Retired rural mail carrier in Meyersdale with 30 years service. Disabled veteran of World War II. Member of Amity United Church of Christ; American Legion Post 112; B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1951; Masonic Lodge of Redbank, N.C.; Harrisburg Consistory (32nd degree); Jaffa Shrine, Altoona. Former director of Pennsylvania Maple Festival. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Carl Mitchell. Interment, Union Cemetery. Daily American, October 29, 1984.
