Born Feb. 6, 1921, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Reid Christopher Hoenicka and Bernadette Veronica (McKenzie) Hoenicka. Mrs. Moyer was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Moyer, on March 25, 1997. A retired secretary for 33 years for the Church of St. Patrick, Pauline was a member of the Church of Saint Patrick and the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette M. Sherwood and her husband Bill, of Lebanon, Pa.; her sisters, Bernadette Leidinger and husband Raymond, and Rita Keplinger, all of Cumberland; her grandson, Justin Sherwood, of Lebanon, Pa.; and her granddaughter, MiKel Sherwood, of Pittsburgh, Pa. Friends will be received in the Adams Family Funeral Home, PA, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Monday, May 19, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Thomas Bevan officiating. Interment will be held in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. (No source listed.)
